Warriors, you have been doing so good trying to stay green and environmentally positive. I think it is time the world gave you some love and saved you some green. TodayÕs home tips are all about making a spa...at home
Sauna treatment. Boil water with some of your garden beauties like rose or lavender, and then fill the water in a bowl, drape a towel over your head and let the steam rise up to your face for five minutes. Lemon juice is great for oily skin, and you can always mix and match your favorites.
Removing Wrinkles. While I prefer to eat my grapesÉthey have another use. Simply cut a seedless grape in half and crush it gently against your crowsÕ feet and any other wrinkles you may have. Leave it on for twenty minutes, rinse off and pat dry. Like all wrinkle removers, this will take daily dedication.
Eating like a Toddler, the Oatmeal Mask. Take an egg white and a table spoon of oatmeal, mix together and let it dry on your face, if you are feeling brave and your skin is extra dryÑadd some mayonnaise. After washing clean, if youÕre feeling oily, just apply some yogurt.
Removing pimples with a miracle cleaner. A cotton ball and salt can clean out your acne in no time. Just dip the cotton ball in hot water, sprinkle on some salt and press to the problem area for two minutes
Bathing in Pine. Pine needles are a solution to some sore dry skin. Simply stir some pine needles and cones into boiling water then let it cool for half a day. Strain out the needles and pour a cup into your bathÑthen enjoy as your skin does.
Dead tired eyes? Dark circles can be removed by wrapping a grated raw potato in some cheesecloth (which surprisingly can be bought at Target) then lay down and take a nice nap for twenty minutes or so.
Puffy eyes the problem? We have all seen the jokes about someone eating the cucumber over their eyes at a spa (Thank you Miss Pettigrew and Queen Latifah) but what you might not realize is cool cucumber slices over the eyes for fifteen minutes really do help.
Highlights for Blondes. When rinsing your hair, add a few drops of lemon juice to a quart of water then let your hair dry in the sun for some wonderful highlights. Brunettes donÕt be jealous; tablespoons of cider vinegar will give your hair a new shine
A great condition. If you love peppermint, do we have a deal for you? Simply massaging peppermint oil into your hair works as a conditioner for all hair types. If you arenÕt a fan, we also recommend eucalyptus oil.
This can be complicatedÑbut you deserve it. The Paraffin Wax Treatment. Just buy four bars of the paraffin wax (another Target buy) and melt it in the microwave. Work in a nice rich moisturizer and dip in one foot three timesÑletting it dry each time. Wrap your foot in plastic wrap air tight to help the moisturizer do its job, and let it set for twenty minutes. Remove and peel. Ta-Da!
